Modes of Engagement
Our flexible engagement models help to strike the right balance between operational efficiency and cost through associated systems and processes that are geared to provide customers with a high level of transparency and full control.
You can choose from any one the generally accepted models below or a combination of them for different phases of your project. We can work with you to customize a model to address your specific need.
- Effort based pricing or Time & Material
- Milestone based billing
- Dedicated Development Facility or Retainer
- Project based pricing or Fixed bid
Any of these pricing models can be applied to our suite of services in ingenious ways for convenience and best value for money.
Effort based pricing or Time & Material
- Costs and schedule will vary depending on the specific requirements and on the complexity of the project. This model gives maximum flexibility and even as the project is being developed it allows making substantial revisions.
- The benefit of this model is that, this model will be appropriate when a project is very complex and large customization effort is required.
- At various stages of software development life cycle (SDLC), changes can be accommodated using this model.
- This model gives customer greater flexibility in terms of developing the project specification on an ongoing basis and modifying the specifications based on the changing market needs.
Milestone-based Billing
- This option works for Clients who are concerned about progress in remote projects
- Milestones-based payment schedules reinforce progress monitoring.
- It helps justify payment based on achievable milestone and visible progress reduces risks.
Dedicated Offshore Development Team/Resource
- A Dedicated Offshore Development team/resource is an extension of the customer's own engineering/development center.
- Through such dedicated teams, we offer the best skill sets, resources, flexibility and time-to-market advantages to the customers, taking all necessary efforts to protect the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) of the customers.
- All rights to the IPR developed by the dedicated team vests with the customer.
- This kind of dedicated team arrangement provides a cost effective solution to customers requiring continuous offshore support.
- For such dedicated relationships, we also implement customer specific quality/process frameworks and teams are trained for the specific needs of a Client.
- The resources are paid on monthly contract basis with a minimum contract period of 3 months
Project based pricing or Fixed bid
- A low risk option, which you can choose when the scope and specifications for the projects are reasonably clear.
- We offer Project based pricing in domains wherein we have the expertise and also have well defined estimation tools to determine the resource commitments.
- Our process optimization ensures reliability, predictability and optimized performance of the projects to deliver on time, on budget, on target.
Onsite Delivery Model
- Clients may sometimes prefer to have the initial consulting, coding, testing, deployment and support entirely executed within their premises.
- For this type of agreement, the onsite team of managers, consultants and programmers coordinate and execute their work seamlessly through the formation of an integrated team.
- This delivery model works well in reducing turnaround time, particularly in instances where the requirements are a little fluid and evolving.
- This model also provides for staff augmentation, where software professionals are provided onsite for short-term engagements, to address backlogs or sudden surges in workload.
Hybrid Model
- Hybrid Model recommendation is based on combination of Offshore Development and Onsite Development teams.
- Typically in such a model, the onsite team handles client interaction, requirements gathering, project management and final implementation.
- While the larger offshore team’s service offering includes system analysis and design, coding and testing.
- The ratio of work between the onsite and offshore is determined based on parameters of cost, project complexity and relative nature of flow of requirements.
